Gene Kogan is the Director of the U.S. DOE Western Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnership which provides federally funded engineering assistance for Combined Heat & Power (CHP), Waste Heat to Power, and District Energy projects in four states: California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii.
Gene’s previous roles include Engineering Operations, Energy Efficiency Programs, and Major Account Portfolio Management with Sempra’s San Diego Gas & Electric utility, Global Energy Programs Management for Saint-Gobain Company, and currently as Principal Investigator on multiple California Energy Commission grant projects at Center for Sustainable Energy. Gene is a San Diego State University alumnus with degree in an electrical engineering with focus on power systems.
